The Frisco Public Library “Unlike Other Libraries”

Reimagined as a public library, this beautiful adaptive reuse project gives new life to a structure that once manufactured rockets and chicken nuggets. 🚀 

Unlike other libraries that tend to be quiet and somber, the Frisco Public Library promotes collaboration, discussion, and creative expression. 🦾
 
The project cost about $62 million and was funded by voter-approved bonds.
 
Amenities include:
  • An online reservation system for private study rooms, meeting rooms, and conference rooms, with text-confirmed confirmations and AR/VR holographic computers.
  • With over 158,068 square feet of floor space, the Frisco Public Library boasts community spaces, Tot’s Town, Kid’s Club, and more.
  • Innovative MakerSpace with technology and science lab features 3D printers, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, robotics kits, and other high-tech devices.
  • You can not only read a book here but write one with the Trail Blazer Press!
  • You can also check out travel backpacks, cake pans, ukuleles, and sports kits to assist baseball and golf players analyze their swings.
  • Also available are drones and GoPro cameras, which can help you learn how to use technology before purchasing.
 
And when you visit, don’t forget to say hi to Rexy, the centerpiece of the new library, a 22-foot tall, 42-foot-long T-Rex model. Library patrons named the dinosaur through a naming contest.
 
In 2023,  The Frisco Library was an honoree for Interior Designs’ 2023 Best of.
