I am sure you have heard about the settlements NAR (National Associations of Realtors) has proposed. The settlement has not been approved yet, but as of now, the settlement states:
1. Realtors must have the buyers sign a buyer representation agreement before showing a house.
2. Buyer agent commission will no longer be able to be advertised in MLS.
Real estate commissions have always been and will continue to be negotiable. What you pay will not change, but HOW you pay will change. These changes will not take place until this summer. We will let you know as we learn more about the specifics and what this will mean for you.
